⚽🎩 Link a sports calendar

The KNVB (Dutch football association) does not offer a public API, so we cannot fetch football schedules directly. However, many clubs use Sportlink (the technology behind the Voetbal.nl app), and from there you can export an iCal calendar (.ics) of your team or player. You add that link to Planninn once — after that the schedule synchronises automatically (every hour).

1. Open the Voetbal.nl app (or the Sportlink club app) and go to your team or player.
2. Look for the option “Calendar”, “Subscribe to calendar” or “Export (iCal)” and copy the iCal/webcal URL.
3. In Planninn open the calendar → Filter / Calendars button → “Link calendar”.
4. Paste the URL, give the calendar a name and colour, and save.
5. Done! The matches appear in your calendar and stay automatically up to date.

🎩 Hockey · KNHB via API Coming soon

The KNHB (Royal Dutch Hockey Association) does offer a public API. We are working on a direct integration so you will soon be able to add your hockey team with one click — without manual copying. This is planned for an upcoming release.

Does your hockey club already have an iCal export? Then you can add it now via “Link calendar”, just like with football above.

📅 How does a linked calendar work?

• Automatic sync: linked calendars are refreshed every hour, so changes (cancellations, new dates) come through automatically.
• Read-only: you display matches from an external calendar in Planninn, but you edit them at the source (the club/association).
• Own colour & on/off: give each linked calendar its own colour and turn it on or off via the calendar filter.
• For everyone: works for both families and teams — a family can follow the club's schedule this way too.
